It's been 2 weeks and 5 days, since a drunk drive slammed into my car. Since that day I have been in a roller coaster ride of pain, gratitude, and frustration. Despite this, the overwhelming support I have received from friends and strangers at the Nak.

It's unreal how a small place can bring about such camaraderie and empathy. Yun and Paul sent me a care package of my favorite snack (edamame), an innumerable offers for rides to wherever I want or need to go, and even Wheatgrass brought get-well flowers.  And how the word spread of my unfortunate accident.   Almost everyday I see or hear from people concerned for my well-being.  The Nak is a beautiful place.

People compare the Nak to Cheers, but it's way better than that.  The place is real.  The people are real.  Most importantly, the bonds among us are real.   The Nak facilitates a stronger community than any other place or business that I have ever been to.  It's a place where parents can relax and bring their kids.

The Nak is a friendship not just a business or a kava bar.
