The Nakava opened its doors to the public in January 2002 as North America's first and only kava bar. The Nakava is operated by the South Pacifc Elixir Company in conjunction with Nakava, LLC.

We pride ourselves in preparing kava in its traditional manner Vanuatu-style. We prepare our kava beverage fresh daily.

Our aim is to provide a clean, relaxing atmosphere. With plenty of board games and a beautiful 500-plus gallon marine aquarium, the mellow moods and smiling faces are never of short supply.

The Nakava team stays current on issues surrounding kava and is prepared to answer any questions or concerns. We also have an extensive collection of resources and books on kava's origins, uses, and benefits.
